Spring Climate Update

La Niña conditions are finally in place and expected to persist through February to April. This is expected to be a weak event with a transition back to ENSO-neutral conditions likely with a 60% chance during March through May. Outlooks from the Climate Prediction Center show equal chances for near, above, and below normal temperatures and precipitation for most of Iowa from February through April.
